One World Group

The One World Group consists of members of Ashbourne Churches together and others. It organises events to raise the profile of One World Issues.
One of its major concerns is FairTrade and it has produced a Fair Trade Directory listing the Fair Trade goods available in the Ashbourne shops and through Traidcraft.
It organises several events throughout the year to publicise One World Issues. Any money raised is usually given to Christian Aid water projects.
The OWG also organises a Harvest collection of dried foodstuffs for Eastern Europe.
The group has a stall selling cakes at the Tissington Well Dressings which start on Asenscion Day.
Recent and forthcoming events include a FairTrade Feast to coincide with Fair Trade fortnight and a FairTrade Fashion Show as well as the Tisington Well Dressings stall
